Melanie MacDonald
Hello, my name is Melanie. I speak from lived experience — not theory. My work is rooted in the realities of childhood trauma, Complex PTSD, and the lasting impact they can have on a person’s life. I don’t speak for sympathy — I speak to bring understanding, connection, and change.
For years, I lived in survival mode. But through my own healing, I found purpose. I now use my voice to highlight what trauma really looks and feels like — and how it affects people long after the moment has passed.
My talks are honest, grounded, and challenging in the best way. I aim to help others reflect, learn, and shift the way they see trauma, mental health, and human behaviour. This isn’t about “inspiring words” — it’s about real experiences that move people toward real change.
I also share my journey in my book, which is both a personal reflection and a call to rethink how we listen to and support those affected by trauma.
Because change starts with understanding — and understanding begins with lived experience.
